Default My Classy Mesmer (WIP)

Here she is thus far, decked out in FoW. I'll probably colour it later on. Let me know if anything looks mangled.

Oh by the way, if anybody has some non-caped, high-res screenshots of the neck piece (don't know the technical name, it's like a crown...but for the neck), I'd appreciate that, as well as screenshots of some other details if possible. And no, my Mesmer doesn't actually have set of FoW...yet.

That looks awesome, LuxA! The only thing that bothers me is her right shoulder - you can't see it...To be frank, it almost looks like she doesn't have an arm...

my two cents ^^

Mm, your mesmer looks a heck of a lot better than any of the in game faces. :]

Apart from the problem with her right arm that Storm Crow pointed out, it looks good to me. I'm assuming that you imagined her with her hand on her hips - but it's generally not a good idea to cut off at a point that makes a 2D image ambiguous for the viewer. In any case, you need a roundish bump on her right shoulder to indicate that her arm is behind her, whether you decide to place all of her arm there or not.

Preeetty. The only suggestion that I could make is rounding out the shoulder at least a little bit (like the rest have said) to make it look like she has a right arm. Make it full figure =P

Maybe it's just me, but this particular peice looks as if it is done in charcoal pencil or a black watercolor (maybe both..pencil for sketching and watercolor for skintone shading?).

The face seems a little too foward, and her jawline+cheekbone stretched out. Although that might just be because the ear isn't drawn yet.

THAT'S what I had felt was missing... that mysterious element I couldn't put my finger on... the ear...

I guess I had subconsciously assumed it was behind her hair...

Heh, thanks everyone for your comments.

Yep, it's done in PS as I can't be bothered with messy traditional methods.

I think I might update the armour now that I've seen the Kurzick 1.5k (it looks frickin sweet). That'll also conveniently save me from rendering the shoulders.

The ear is kinda there, but it's certainly not pronounced enough of course, I'll work on that.

Anyways, now that my pre-order trial has run out, I can actually get working on this again.

Very nice! This time the shoulder doesn't really matter, however; her shoulder is covered by her collar. Still, very nice job.

Stormcrow is correct, the shoulder would be obstructed from view by the collar, so no need to add it in.

That picture has developped very nicely, and it looks very nice.
